This is the first rendition of Eizens puzzle box as a product sheet. This again has the paper effect added in Photoshop and has the plane version accompanying it.
This is my first version of Eizens puzzle box in 3d. The internals of this are accurate to the real thing and the materials are as close as I could get for the time being. Due to the current environment there is nothing for the brass texture to reflect and so it will not stand out until it is placed with the rest of Eizens belongings.
An animated version is to follow.
Eizens Puzzle Box.
OK im jumping ahead on this project quite a bit, this is the nearly finished version of my puzzle box. i’m creating a mould for the octopus so i can reproduce it on the other side of the box, i will also be adding some more design onto the box. the octopus design is also going to change before the final product. Tutorial on how it was made will follow soon.
A few days ago i posted that i was going to make a puzzle box. This is the prototype i have been playing around with. Its made out of card but it works fine. I now understand how the box works and so am going to start making the final piece from a good strong wood. =]
Now then as part of my project I need some kind of home media devices, so to start with I wanted to make something that was quite nice. So I have begun making a basic matchbox puzzle box that uses sliding panels and a series of movements to open. I have just finished making the cardboard prototype. pictures will follow.
